Carinna Rao shot a 1-under-par 34 to lead Oaks Christian to the Marmonte League girls golf Tournament 3 title Tuesday, Sept. 29, at Sterling Hills Golf Club in Camarillo.

Rao posted the only under-par round of the day on the par-35 course. Arianna Barry matched par with a 35. Lauren Sandoval carded a 36, and Maya Brown finished at 37, according to the Oaks Christian athletics department on X.

The four scores gave the Westlake Village school a dominant top-to-bottom showing. Every Lions golfer finished within three strokes of par.

The result improved on a second-place finish at Tournament 2 five days earlier. At that event on Sept. 24 at Sunset Hills Golf Course, also a par-35 layout, the Lions posted a team score of 200, according to the team's earlier post on X. Brown and Brooke Bunker each shot 39 that day, and Barry posted a 40.

Oaks Christian opened the Marmonte League season at the league's first tournament on Sept. 16 at Calabasas Country Club, a par-36 course. The Lions posted a team score of 188. Barry led that event with a 32, followed by Rao at 38, Bunker at 39 and Sandoval at 39.

Rao's progression across the three tournaments stands out. She shot a 38 at Calabasas Country Club in the opener, did not appear in the Tournament 2 scoring posted by the team and then fired a 34 at Sterling Hills. That 34 was the lowest individual round any Lions golfer has posted in the three league events.

Barry has been a consistent presence all season. She led the opener with a 32, shot a 40 at Tournament 2 and came back with a 35 at Sterling Hills. Sandoval also improved, dropping from a 39 at Calabasas Country Club to a 36 at Sterling Hills.

The three tournaments have rotated across different courses. Calabasas Country Club played to a par of 36, while Sunset Hills and Sterling Hills both played to a par of 35.

No date for the next Marmonte League girls golf tournament has been announced.
