Westlake's unbeaten football team jumped two spots to No. 2 in the Ventura County Star's Super 10 rankings, setting up a Friday, Sept. 18 home showdown with Tustin.

The Star's Week 4 rankings, published Monday, Sept. 14, moved the Warriors up from No. 4 after they opened the season 4-0. Pacifica (Oxnard) held the top spot at 4-0, with a bye this week before hosting Sierra Canyon.

The Tustin matchup carries statewide weight. The Star noted it pits the state's No. 31- and No. 34-ranked teams, per CalHiSports.com.

The Los Angeles Times' Southland top 25, published Sunday, Sept. 13, slots Westlake at No. 22 and Tustin at No. 24. SI.com's CIF Southern Section rankings, also published Sept. 13, place Tustin at No. 17 and Westlake at No. 20.

The Warriors earned the ranking climb behind a 28-23 win over Laguna Beach in Week 3. Sophomore quarterback Ford Green and Hendrix Tucker combined for four touchdown passes, two of them to senior wide receiver Charles Davis III, according to SI.com.

Davis, a four-star recruit listed at 6-foot-6 and 200 pounds, was ranked No. 2 on the LA Daily News' preseason top 100. He and fellow senior Demare Dezeurn, a four-star recruit committed to Cal, were described by the Daily News as "one of the most formidable receiving duos in the country."

Green, a sophomore with offers from Michigan, Ohio State, Florida State and UConn, threw for 2,195 yards and 31 touchdowns as a freshman in 2025, per the Daily News.

Westlake's season started with a 32-26 triple-overtime win at Newbury Park on Aug. 21. Safety August Gibbs sealed that victory with an interception in the third overtime.

Tustin (3-1) enters Friday's game off a 21-10 win over Damien. Quarterback Hayden Koo, a converted wide receiver, is 2-0 as the Tillers' starter, according to SI.com.

Head coach Greg Olsen's Warriors host the Tillers on Friday, Sept. 18.
