The Conejo Schools Foundation distributed more than $75,000 in classroom grants to Conejo Valley Unified School District teachers in the prior school year.
Executive Director Lana Clark reported the figure to the school board Wednesday, Sept. 16. "We provided more than $75,000 through our teacher grant program last year helping teachers bring additional resources and innovative learning opportunities into their classrooms," Clark said, according to a live-tweet by the NPHS Panther Prowler, Newbury Park High School's student newspaper.
Clark did not specify which schools received grants or how many teachers applied.
The Thousand Oaks-based nonprofit is one of several community organizations that partner with CVUSD. At an Aug. 12 board meeting, district staff highlighted the foundation alongside the Assistance League of Conejo Valley and Conejo Free Clinic as partners providing clothing, school supplies, vision and dental care, immunizations, and toiletries to McKinney-Vento students, foster youth and other students with identified needs, according to board records.
The foundation also co-funded a RISE anti-bias education presentation at a CVUSD District Advisory Council meeting in October 2025, alongside a California Department of Education grant.
