H&H Bagels, the New York City chain known for its water bagels and cameos on Seinfeld, is headed to Westlake Village.

The bagel shop will open at The Shoppes at Westlake Village at 31125 Via Colinas, Suite 907, next to Prince St. Pizza, according to an Instagram post from the company. No opening date has been announced.

Founded in 1972 on Manhattan's Upper West Side by Helmer Toro and Hector Hernandez, H&H Bagels built a following around its kettle-boiled, oven-baked water bagels. The shop appeared in Seinfeld, Sex and the City and The Office. CEO Jay Rushin purchased the brand's name and assets in 2014, Eater LA reported.

The Westlake Village shop is part of a broader push into Southern California. H&H opened a Santa Monica location in February 2025 and an Echo Park store on April 2, 2026. Both are operated by local owner Phil Gross, according to Eater LA. It is not clear who will own or operate the Westlake Village franchise.

The chain has announced plans for 25 new locations across the country, the New York Post reported on June 23. California was slated for two of them. H&H already operates shops in New York City, Florida, Illinois, Washington D.C., Tennessee and North Carolina.

On Sept. 14, the brand opened its first Texas franchise in Houston's River Oaks neighborhood. That location is owned by Noman Khan, a native New Yorker who has lived in Houston for more than a decade, Community Impact reported.

"We're incredibly excited to bring H&H Bagels to Texas," Rushin said at the Houston opening. "The responses to our recent openings around the country have been amazing …"

The menu at other H&H locations includes bagel varieties such as everything, sesame, jalapeño cheddar and pumpernickel, along with specialty sandwiches like the Nova Salmon, Southwest Turkey and The Gardener. The shops also serve egg sandwiches, avocado plates and small-batch coffee. H&H Bagels' online menu describes its bagels as made with non-GMO, unbleached flour, with 13 grams of protein each.

The Shoppes at Westlake Village, at 30770 Russell Ranch Road, is home to Prince St. Pizza, In-N-Out Burger, Crumbl Cookie and Target. Residents can check hhbagels.com for updates on the Westlake Village opening date.
